I just had a call from my daughter in Poland telling me she's having a great time.
No one can tell me I’m not ‘great’. I know I’m not a leader of men or a battle weary veteran. I may not have discovered anything in the interest of mans development or be a wise and worldly traveller …. But my daughter says I am, so it must be so!
Every now and again my daughter would ask me how I got the scar on my chin, and I would always tell her the same thing, that I was a secret agent working for "Mossad" and go into a James Bond story for her.
Today she asked me again but added ‘’… and this time tell me the truth''!!
Damn it, I hate it when they have to grow up!
The fact is I got the scar in a motor cycle accident when I was 21. She listened to the truth in awe and I was amazed when she said that it was so cool. Didn’t she understand the part where her daddy nearly died?!!! Lol
She wasn’t disappointed with the truth which was ‘cool’ by me too.
It is good for them to grow up even when we don't want them to grow up. Your daughter understood every detail of the true story and that is something that she will remember is the truth of the story. Don't ever let any one tell you that you are not a good father. Because your daughter will probably argue with them.

My daughter already has a moblie phone, her mum bought it last year and she's seen an upgrade that she wants. As it's her birthday next week I will get her the best one that I think will suit her.
The funny thing is, last year when she got the phone, I was hesitant and didn't really think it necessary for a ten year old to have one. The fact that she phones me nearly every day from it has changed my mind completely.
